Sketchy

As it is not really raining here in Texas (thank goodness)
the weather is actually beautiful.
Keep in mind, if you ever come to visit this ginormous state,
that October + November is the best time to come.

I'm getting so stoked for Halloween...costume pictures coming soon!

T-Shirt: Old Navy
Scarf: JCPenney
Shorts: Forever21
Socks: American Apparel
Rain Boots: Target

The umbrella is Oscar De La Renta...so snazzy...not quite...
I've had it like 10 years. I think my mom got it as a free gift with perfume.
Very cute none the less!

Lounging

There's nothing better
than curling up with your dog and reading a magazine.

Shanks decided to lay all over me the other day
when I was reading House Beautiful.
Sometimes he thinks he's a lap dog, not a 40 lb. Border Collie mix.
None the less, I still hug him and squeeze him
even though he smells far from roses (and usually burps in my face)

He was laying on his back with his legs squeezed between the couch cushions.
He seemed quite comfy that way!

Haunted House

I have to admit that I ♥ Halloween!
I've had to restrain myself from going too crazy
decorating the house, but I couldn't resist decorating a little.
I went to Dollar Tree (where everything really is $1)
and got a crap load of stuff for $10.

I made the wreath.
The sign is not far from the truth!

It's first year to have a house and I can't wait for trick-or-treaters.
Although, I'm not sure if they come around like in the old days.

Nothin' but Blue Skies

Cardigan: Abercrombie (circa 2004)
Tunic: Forever21
Leggings: Forever21
Boots: Moschino

Quick story about the two bargains
I'm wearing in this post.

The cardigan was bought when I worked at Abercrombie my first
year of college (don't ask) anyway, it's 100% cashmere with high
quality rhinestones (except one has fallen off as seen above)
and was originally about $300...went on sale for $30 and landed in my hands!

The boots are Moschino.
Needless to say I can't afford anything Moschino,
but my friend worked at a high-end store a few years ago and called me
the second these boots went on sale...for $90.
Best purchase ever!

Sugar Coated Fashion?

Look at these adorable cookies!
I don't know whether to gobble them up or stare at them all day.

They were featured on DailyCandy today (among others)
but these precious little purses definitely stood out the most.
I wish I had the precision and patience to make cookies like this.

Find them here
...and here.

Where's Your PINK?

As we all know it's
breast cancer awareness month
and it brings me great joy to see pink splashed everywhere you look.
Not just because I love pink (what girly-girl doesn't?)
but also because I love that so many people join in to
raise funds and bring awareness to the cause.

Necklace: JCPenney
Cardigan: GAP
Dress: Charlotte Russe
Shoes: Steve Madden

Here's a few places to find your PINK:

Outfit the whole family at Save the Ta-tas

Real men where pink...at least in the NFL they do.

Why not Cook for the Cure?...I wish my whole kitchen could be pink.

Affordable styles for the trendy lady.

Turn your entire make up bag pink.

Falling For You

Good news! I found my memory card.
It was hiding in an inside pocket of a travel bag
from when I went here a couple of weeks ago.

Now I can finally keep up with my outfit posts (hopefully).
This outfit was from earlier this week.
The weather is so perfect here.
I want it to stay like this forever!
