Sketchy

As it is not really raining here in Texas (thank goodness)
the weather is actually beautiful.
Keep in mind, if you ever come to visit this ginormous state,
that October + November is the best time to come.

I'm getting so stoked for Halloween...costume pictures coming soon!

T-Shirt: Old Navy
Scarf: JCPenney
Shorts: Forever21
Socks: American Apparel
Rain Boots: Target

The umbrella is Oscar De La Renta...so snazzy...not quite...
I've had it like 10 years. I think my mom got it as a free gift with perfume.
Very cute none the less!

Haunted House

I have to admit that I ♥ Halloween!
I've had to restrain myself from going too crazy
decorating the house, but I couldn't resist decorating a little.
I went to Dollar Tree (where everything really is $1)
and got a crap load of stuff for $10.

I made the wreath.
The sign is not far from the truth!

It's first year to have a house and I can't wait for trick-or-treaters.
Although, I'm not sure if they come around like in the old days.

Nothin' but Blue Skies

Cardigan: Abercrombie (circa 2004)
Tunic: Forever21
Leggings: Forever21
Boots: Moschino

Quick story about the two bargains
I'm wearing in this post.

The cardigan was bought when I worked at Abercrombie my first
year of college (don't ask) anyway, it's 100% cashmere with high
quality rhinestones (except one has fallen off as seen above)
and was originally about $300...went on sale for $30 and landed in my hands!

The boots are Moschino.
Needless to say I can't afford anything Moschino,
but my friend worked at a high-end store a few years ago and called me
the second these boots went on sale...for $90.
Best purchase ever!

Where's Your PINK?

As we all know it's
breast cancer awareness month
and it brings me great joy to see pink splashed everywhere you look.
Not just because I love pink (what girly-girl doesn't?)
but also because I love that so many people join in to
raise funds and bring awareness to the cause.

Necklace: JCPenney
Cardigan: GAP
Dress: Charlotte Russe
Shoes: Steve Madden

Here's a few places to find your PINK:

Outfit the whole family at Save the Ta-tas

Real men where pink...at least in the NFL they do.

Why not Cook for the Cure?...I wish my whole kitchen could be pink.

Affordable styles for the trendy lady.

Turn your entire make up bag pink.

Falling For You

Good news! I found my memory card.
It was hiding in an inside pocket of a travel bag
from when I went here a couple of weeks ago.

Now I can finally keep up with my outfit posts (hopefully).
This outfit was from earlier this week.
The weather is so perfect here.
I want it to stay like this forever!

Life Isn't Black + White

Sometimes I feel like my fashion life is all black + white.
It seems my whole freakin closet is black. It gets so boring.
Maybe I just feel that way because I haven't done laundry
in so long and my wardrobe is running on fumes.

Note to self: MUST DO LAUNDRY...asap!

T-Shirt: Old Navy
Necklace: gift from friend
Skirt: Pitaya (small boutique in Uptown)
Shoes: Nine West
Ring/Bracelets: Forever21

These pictures were taken in our guest bathroom.
I love this bathroom, it's like a black/white/yellow paradise.
Sort of an art deco feel.

Tuesday Blues

It's a crazy busy week already and it's only Tuesday.
Lots of stuff going on...trying to get it all done.

One good thing is, I have a co-worker who has excellent style
and happens to be my size and she keeps giving clothes that she doesn't wear anymore.
Some of them haven't even been worn!
Isn't that awesome? Free cute clothes. Who passes that up?
I told her to keep 'em coming!

Dress: gifted from co-worker

Waiting for Fall (like everyone else)

I think we've all said like a millions time..."I'M SO READY FOR FALL!"
Or at least I have.
Well we can't seem to say it enough.
As all the yummy fashions line magazines and window fronts it's still hot as hell outside.
So I guess I'll just have to wait...
Fall will be here soon...i hope.

When it rains it pours...

We are experiencing the wrath of Tropical Storm Hermine this week.
Yesterday it rained all day, but died down at times.
But today is another story...it's raining like cats and dogs out there.
I really kind of like it, since we rarely get much rain.
It would be perfect if I got to lay in bed,
watch movies and listen to the rain all day.
Once again...a girl can dream!

Here's me yesterday before the torrential downpour.

Aren't these clogs to kill for?
And when I say kill, I mean kill, I wore them for the first time yesterday and they massacred my feet.
I have a massive blister on my pinky toe. (I know thanks for the visual)
But I know I'll break them in eventually.
Anyway, I've been eyeing them for a couple months now, but they were out of my (cheap) price range.
Then they went on sale! I couldn't believe it. I snatched those babies up ASAP.

Buckle Up: Part 2

These pictures were taken at 9:00 at night and it was still 100 degrees outside.
Can you see me glistening? Not the best look for me.
That's how freakin' hot it is in Texas, people!
I so wish I was in Paris like The Clothes Horse or in Napa like Mrs. Lilien.

Buckle Up

I found these badass Jeffrey Campell boots at Salvation Army last week.
Can you believe they were only $8?!
I died when I saw them. Luckily they were my size.
